Carnevale Hat-Trick Sinks Arch Rivals
05/12/2009
Having beaten them to the League Title in 2008 and a semi-final victory in the Norman Goulding Cup, Wessex renewed their bitter rivalry with Lawrence Weston with a 2 v 4 away victory. 21/11/2009
Wessex Wanderers poor start to the season continued with a disappointing 3 v 3 draw away to Almondsbury UWE. Bristol Telephones inflicted Wessex second successive defeat of the season. Although they had the better of the 1st half, Wanderers trailed by a controversial penalty at the break. 2 goals early in the 2nd period looked to have finished the contest but the home team showed great fighting spirit to get back into the match with goals from Chris Sheppard and Jamie Lewis before Telephones wrapped up the game with a late goal on the break.
